Inauguration of new building
The Le Rocher building in St-Cergue, which houses a sports hall and living space, has been inaugurated. A key feature of the project was the suspension of the gym ceiling from the roof structure. In order to take loads across the width of the gymnasium, the roof structure is made up of rigid, under-tensioned frames. This made it possible to integrate the living area’s first floor into the building template without having to bury the gymnasium, which is accessible at ground level. The above-ground structures are made of Swiss timber.
