For the second year running, maintenance work is being carried out on the Trappistes bridge. This structure on the N21 Martigny – Gd-St-Bernard road crosses the Dranse just before Sembrancher.

Work carried out between August and the end of October included replacement of the bearings, restoration of the abutments with reinforced concrete plating and installation of a polymer bitumen road seal on the Sembrancher side. On the Martigny side, the bearings were loaded in order to transfer the forces from the jacks to the bearings without stressing the clave joint created last year.
