Publishing House
INGPHI Press is a publishing house dedicated to construction. It covers both engineering structures such as bridges and tunnels, where the engineer’s art is called upon, and buildings, where engineers work in close collaboration with architects.
The name INGPHI comes from the desire to understand load-bearing structures as works of art; a contraction of the term ING for engineers and the Greek letter PHI symbolizing the golden ratio, which represents aesthetic geometric proportions.
By extension, the same attitude is applied to our work as publishers.

La Suisse e(s)t ses ponts
UNE HISTOIRE AU FIL DU RHÔNE ET DE SES AFFLUENTS
from Philippe Menétrey
The book La Suisse e(s)t ses ponts (Switzerland and its bridges) plunges into the heart of Switzerland through the prism of its bridges, revealing a chronicle of their history.
Under the evocative title La Suisse et ses ponts (Switzerland and its bridges), the double-edged title offers an in-depth exploration of Switzerland’s wealth of infrastructure
through an exhaustive description of the bridges listed.
On the other hand, the alternative formulation, Switzerland is its bridges, highlights the way in which these essential structures constitute the very essence of Switzerland.

This book, published in French, presents 18 projects that give an overview of INGPHI’s approach to structural engineering. INGPHI aims at treating all structures with the same level of attention and integrating all the program’s requirements into a unique structure.
This book demonstrates the importance of the engineer’s creative work, which, by his experience and sensitivity, allows designing unique, well balanced and artistic structures.
The book format respects the golden ratio and the cover paper is inlaid with cement grains.
