Works carried out while preserving heritage value
Built between 1923 and 1926 on the shores of Lake Geneva, this historic building now hosts several international organizations.
The recent works improved energy performance by replacing 32 windows in the north-east extension. These operations were scheduled to respect the use of the most requested conference rooms, while the building remained in use. The heritage character of the windows required the renovation of various materials such as natural stone and solid wood.
In addition, accessibility was enhanced with the installation of a PRM ramp, finished with mineral cladding identical to the existing surfaces and secured with a polished stainless-steel handrail. It is discreetly connected to the concrete structure to minimize the visual impact on the façade.
