The temporary bridge over the Chexbres motorway junction is moved
The Chexbres motorway junction is being rebuilt and, in this context, the freeway is diverted twice, on the same temporary bridge which is moved. Indeed, one year after the installation on the lake side, the temporary bridge is dismantled and reassembled this spring on the mountain side.
It is characterized by a metal profile made entirely of commercial rolled sections, with bolted assemblies, for the sake of modularity.
In order to push the reuse to the maximum, the running slab is made of prefabricated concrete elements keyed together with non-injected prestressed cables allowing a complete reuse of the superstructure. The guardrails and equipment are also reused from one location to another.
