After several weeks of prefabrication, the footbridge over the Venoge has been installed, once again allowing the crossing of the river.

The pre-stressed trough structure was made of CFUP colored in red, recalling the historical color of the structure, also known as the “Red Bridge over the Venoge”. The structure was transported by special convoy and installed in a single piece using a crane, on the abutments of the old bridge demolished in October. The installation operation was planned over one day in order to limit the inconvenience to local residents as much as possible. The culvert crossing an adjacent dry arm was installed at the same time.

The final finishing work is now underway. The structure will be opened to the public before the holidays!
