The erection of the timber framework for the new apartments is now over. This structure, made of glued laminated timber, is entirely prefabricated. The framework is made of timber frames supporting solid timber slabs. All the openings for pipes and technical building installations were done in the shop when fabricating the different pieces of the structure. Beforehand, the building attic was demolished, and the elevator shafts were raised to provide service to the new apartments. These shafts also insure the horizontal robustness of the heightened structure.
