The engineering office INGPHI has won the 2nd position and 2nd price in the structural engineering competition for the new school at Plaine du Loup in Lausanne. The proposed solution is rational and pragmatic. It consists in a reinforced concrete structure completed with wood floors and a wood roof structure for the sports hall. This solution respects the fire, vibration, acoustic and environmental requirements.
The panel of examiners noted that the project respects the spaces and functions defined by the architectural project and that the proposed solutions show a good comprehension of the architectural concept.
