During winter, a deck was assembled under the bridge, covering the full surface. At the end of March, the first traffic-restriction phase was placed overnight, allowing work to start on the Vevey-side of the bridge.

This year’s work concerns the rehabilitation and the strengthening of the main bridge. This work consists in strengthening the slab cantilevers using UHPFRC struts, rebuilding the concrete curbs, rehabilitating the concrete and replacing the whole waterproofing layer, pavement and equipment. The existing pavement will be milled, and the waterproofing layer is removed. Currently, the curbs are being sawed and the head of the cantilever slab is hydrodemolished.
