Installation of the central span steel structure

Installation of the steel structure began with the central section, spanning 40 m and composed of two parallel, 2.50 m-high, self-patinating (Corten) steel trusses, connected by struts and bracing.

The 6 main parts, each weighing 30 t, were transported to the site by special convoys and erected using a plough in a massive operation.
