Winner of the Sports Center Design Competition
Last Tuesday (01/14), the city of Nyon announced the construction of the new Colovray sports center. It was designed by Localarchitecture, Pascal Heyraud Paysagiste and INGPHI for the supporting structure.
The main hall will be able to accommodate nearly 2000 spectators. The structure features a large unifying roof which gives it a contemporary look while reusing the methods agricultural constructions. The structure of the roof is based on a continuous T-beam reinforced by a truss over the sports hall. Therefore, its design is contemporary and rational.
The execution of the parc around the center will begin once the construction of the center is over. This parc will have a total of nine sports field, increasing it by two fields for football and rugby.
Works are scheduled to be done in 2030.
