Traffic can resume on the viaduct

Since mid-December 2021, the Riddes Viaduct is open to traffic, except for left-turns at the Riddes junction intersections. Since then, the work on the roadway has focused on its improvements, the vertical signs, the markings and the electrical engineering of the traffic lights. This work is now complete and the intersections will be fully operational as of May 6th.

The remaining of the work involves the replacement of bearings, the renewal of the off-structure pavement, the final markings and the removal of the installations. All of this work will be completed by mid-summer.

The video below recaps the highlights of last year’s retrofit work.
