Striking operation for the installation of the steel caisson

After several months of preparation in the workshops of Morand Construction Métallique, the steel deck of the footbridge on the Route de la Pierre was installed during a one-night OCP.
The three sections of the structure were transported by special convoy to Écublens the night before installation. They were then lifted by means of a plough and placed end to end in their final position on the concrete piers and abutments.
The work continues with the installation of the railings and the fittings.
